Who we are
This website is operated by Metro Area Fencing Company, LLC, a family owned fence and deck contractor based in Marietta, Georgia. In our marketing we go by Metro Area Fence & Deck Company. This policy explains what information we collect when you call us, text us, fill out a form, or book an estimate, and what we do with it.
This policy applies to metroareafence.com and to the phone, text, and booking tools we use to run the business. It does not apply to any third party website you reach by clicking a link from ours.
Information we collect
We only ask for what we need to give you a price and schedule the work.
- Contact details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, and the service address for the project.
- Project details you give us: the type of fence, gate, or deck, approximate footage, photos you choose to send, timing, and any notes about the property.
- Call and message records: if you call or text one of our numbers, we keep a record of the call or message, including the date, time, the number used, and in some cases a recording or transcript, so we can follow up accurately.
- Website usage data collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the page that referred you, and similar analytics data.
We do not collect payment card numbers, bank account numbers, or Social Security numbers through this website.
How we use your information
- To respond to your request, prepare a written estimate, and schedule a site visit.
- To contact you about your estimate, your appointment, and your project, by phone, text, or email.
- To send appointment reminders and confirmations.
- To keep records of the work we quoted and performed, including warranty history.
- To understand which of our marketing channels bring in customers, so we know where to spend.
- To meet legal, tax, and insurance obligations.
Text messaging and mobile information
If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about your estimate, your appointment, and your project. Full program details, including how to stop messages, are in our SMS Terms.
We do not sell or share your mobile opt-in data. No mobile information, and no text messaging consent you give us, will ever be sold, rented, or shared with any third party or affiliate for their own marketing or promotional purposes. This applies to your phone number and to the fact that you opted in. There is no exception to this.
Consent to receive text messages is always optional. You do not have to agree to texts to get an estimate, to book an appointment, or to buy anything from us. If you do not check the consent box on our forms, we will still take your request and still contact you by phone or email.
What we do with the number you give us
- We use it to reach you about your own job: a booking link, an appointment confirmation, a question about the property, a heads up that the crew is on the way.
- We keep a record of when and how you agreed to receive texts, including the date, the form or call it came from, and the exact wording you agreed to.
- We do not add your number to any list that is sold, traded, or rented.
Service providers who touch your number
To run the business we use a small number of vendors that handle your information on our behalf. These are the categories:
- Scheduling and job management, which holds your contact record, your appointment, and your job history.
- Call and text handling, including our answering and messaging tools, so calls and texts reach us and get returned.
- Call tracking and marketing measurement, so we can tell which ads and listings produce real calls.
- Website hosting, forms, and analytics.
These vendors are bound to use your information only to provide their service to us. They are not permitted to use your mobile information, your phone number, or your text messaging consent for their own marketing, and they are not permitted to sell it or pass it on.
Who we share information with
We share your information only in these situations:
- With the service providers described above, to run the business.
- With a subcontractor or supplier when it is necessary to complete your specific job, and only the details needed for that job.
- When the law requires it, such as a subpoena, court order, or a government request we are legally obligated to answer.
- To protect our rights, our property, or the safety of our crew or the public.
- If the business is sold or merged, in which case your information would transfer with it and remain subject to this policy.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade our customer list. And as stated above, mobile opt-in data and text messaging consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
Cookies, analytics, and call tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your session, and measure traffic. We use standard web analytics to see which pages people visit and where visitors come from.
We also use call tracking. This means the phone number displayed on a page may change depending on how you found us, which lets us tell whether a call came from a search listing, an ad, or a direct visit. Calls to those numbers ring the same business line, and they may be recorded for quality and follow up.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site behave.
How long we keep information
We keep estimate and customer records for as long as we have a business reason to, which normally means the life of the relationship plus the period our tax, warranty, and insurance obligations require. Text messaging consent records are kept for as long as you are opted in and for a reasonable period afterward, so we can show when and how consent was given or withdrawn.
Your choices, access, and deletion
- Stop texts: reply STOP to any message from us. You can also call or email us and ask.
- Stop marketing email: use the unsubscribe link, or ask us directly.
- See what we have: ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Correct it: tell us what is wrong and we will fix it.
- Delete it: ask us to delete your information and we will, except for records we are required to keep for tax, warranty, legal, or insurance reasons.
To make any of these requests, email quote@metroareafence.com or call (770) 769-8545. Tell us what you are asking for and give us the phone number or email address you used, so we can find your record. We will respond within a reasonable time, and we will not charge you or treat you differently for asking.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold, including access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take it seriously and we limit who inside the company can see your record.
Children
Our services are sold to adults. This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we will say so on this page. Continuing to use the site or our services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
